the plan was a flat 6mile run – so a few miles before and a nice 5k to finish off at swansea bay parkrun. halfway there i remembered that there was a musical festival on the beach and that parking might be an issue! checked and saw that parkrun wasn’t even on! it had been cancelled due to general festival chaos, road closures and the course being a bit cluttered up. so, spun the car around and took ourselves to neath – parked in the town itself and ran to the gnoll park – ALL UPHILL! not quite the flat 6mi we’d set out to do but it was a good run nonetheless and i’m sure it will only be a help for Caerphilly 10k next weekend!

i will post a route map below for anyone else who may need 6mi that way in the future – probably me 😀 the bonus with running to the parkrun is that you don’t have to pay to park!

i’ve been a bit of a slave to the garmin challenge badges this past few months – this run netted me a 5k weekend badge – huzzah!

had a lovely breakfast in the cadno lounge afterwards – no photos of what was a delicious avo on toast but trust me it didn’t disappoint.
